The Television Academy held its first member event in Atlanta, “A Conversation with Tyler Perry,” at the Woodruff Arts Center on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Tyler Perry
Tamron Hall was simply amazing! This was one of the most inspirational conversations I have ever heard. To hear some of the thing he had to go through while growing up in New Orleans to get where he is now was heart breaking but he used it to make his self stronger.
These two together had such a strong stage presents.
Being in the room with to hear Tyler Perry speak about his life and experiences shows how hard work really pays off. He relates to so many people with his struggles. He spoke about doing plays from 92′ to 98′ and few people came to support. But he kept pressing on with the small budget from working his 9am – 5pm. At times spending all he had but he just knew that would be the play where he made his money back. When you feel like you have failed and all hope is lost he helped people to understand that they are on the right path don’t give up.
