Atlanta was out in full swing on a Tuesday! The stars came out for the release of Bossip’s new show, “Bossip on WE”, premiering July 6th at 10 pm. Not only are they celebrating the new show, they also awarded celebrities for “Bossip’s Best-Dressed List”
The W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta couldn’t have been a better choice for this upscale yet trendy event. As the stars took to the red carpet, everyone geared up to see who was going to stand out as Bossip’s styled finest. Trina & Towanda Braxton from “Braxton Family Values” in my opinion wins “best personality” of the night. Also, mother and daughter Toya Wright & Reginae Carter complimented each other very well with their sweet demeanor and Nola charm. Many other guest included Tameka “Tiny” Harris and daughter Zonnique Pullins, Karlie Redd from “Love and Hip Hop of ATL”, and Miss Juicy from “Rickey Smiley Show” & “Little Women: ATL”, as well as many others.
One of my favorites on the red carpet had to be “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Cynthia Bailey, who worked the red carpet in a barely there jumpsuit with matching robe! At the age of 50, Ms. Bailey showed us all that age is truly nothing but a number.
Not to be outdone; Gary Hayes aka ” Gary with the Tea” of “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” showed up and made us all do a double take as he hit the carpet in a mesmorizing two piece suit. When asked why he chose his ensemble for the night he replied, “Well, if you’re gonna be nominated for best dressed, you might as well find the ugliest thing you can and make a statement!” The outfit was not my taste however, the man may have a point and clearly did just that!
As for the show, “Bossip On We”, we got the opportunity to meet the cast of the new 30 minute show which includes editors and contributors that will be giving us the latest in breaking news and hot gossip. You can expect to get the same quality stories that we’re use to as well as celebrity guest “spilling the tea” before it hits the web! Look to fall in love with one of the 7 host including; Janee Bolden, Jason “Jah” Lee, Danielle “Dani” Canada, Alex Ford, Ronnie Jordan, Tyler Chronicles, and Maura Chanz.
After the red carpet shut down it was time to turn the party up and celebrate the nominees of the night! The DJ was playing everything from the best of the 90’s to today’s hottest tracks! We dined on complimentary food and drinks which only added to the atmosphere of the night. I really enjoyed the fact that the “celebs” mixed and mingled with media and other guest. At one point you could catch Mimi Faust and I dancing to Frankie Beverly and Maze “Before I let Go”! Overall the event was a success and I can’t wait to see what Bossip and WE TV have in store! Don’t forget to check out the new show “Bossip on WE” on July 6th at 10 pm.
