(Atlanta, Ga) The 9th Annual Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival brought thousands out to Woodruff Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta this past weekend. The family-friendly event featured performances from Young Dro, OJ Da Juiceman, Wish Da Great, 1k, and BMD 25 during DJ Screams HoodRich Radio Hour on Saturday, and Mykko Montana and Lil Cato during DJ Swamp Izzo’s set on Sunday. The Main Stage hosted by Sean Teezy, Niko, and Fort Knox also featured performances by Joe Gifted, Windsor Jones, Joe Green, Dru Smith Lil Freaky, Timothy Isaiah, P.O.M.E., Keem, Mz. Mocha, Darrell Kelley, Vade, Brazil Hill, and Mazi GA filmed by the AIU Atlanta student film crew.
There was a special young influencer hour hosted by Jabias Da Kidd that featured performances from him and young celebrities like King Roscoe (Jermain Dupri’s Rap Game), Imprint performed his Viral hit #BennyWalk (@KingImprint), Jhacari, The Wicker Twinz, Eisha, Lit Twins, BHM, KD Da Kid, Mahdi, and more. There were special guest appearances by Roc Nations Jaz-O, Atlanta’s own Fabo of groundbreaking group D4L, Euro Gotit, Robii World, Kung Fu, and Amy Luciani.
Marcus Boyd was honored with the Pioneer Award, he is a producer who suffers from Autism and was unable to speak until he was 14 years old. Marcus has produced over 20,000 beats, and has been featured on Billboard. DJ Ace Boogie and DJ Smileyy kept the crowd entertained all weekend.
The Edgewood Stage at the other end of the park was hosted by Atlanta MC’s Hectic DaBackPacka & Suave with DJ Spiffy providing the music. The stage featured performances from influencers like Lord D’Andre, Lynn Tate, and Suni MF.
Food Trucks lined Peachtree serving BBQ to Chicken and Waffles. Exhibitor tables were through-out the park with vendors selling food, tropical drinks, a wide variety of arts and crafts, clothing and more.

About Atlanta Hip Hop Day
Atlanta Hip Hop Day is Atlanta’s only FREE annual, outdoor family-friendly Hip Hop festival founded in 2011 and designed to pay homage to the elements of Hip Hop, Hip Hop History and Atlanta’s contribution to the Hip Hop culture. Each side of the park is dedicated to the elements of Hip Hop displaying B-Boy and B-Girl exhibits. The festival is planning a Miami Hip Hop Day February 2020, and its 10th annual event is planned for Fall of 2020 at Woodruff Park.
