Yesterday, we (Grits – Girls Rocking in the South and New Hanover County NAACP) hosted a private screening for the hit movie, #HiddenFigures at Regal Cinemas Mayfaire 16 & IMAX. What a beautiful event and sight to see????!!!!!!

I could make a super SUPER long post but I’m simply going to summarize everything by quoting the birthday King of the day:

“Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate; only love can do that.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Yesterday, in that SOLD OUT THEATER, filled with women and little girls, we brought in the light- as well as the love. Let us continue to be the example of the positivity and the good that exists in the world. Love is an action and I appreciate the love displayed yesterday. I’m a firm believer that what you put out into the world is what you get back in a massive amount. I thank you all again who showed up and brought your kids and helped us from day one! We appreciate you! Keep on rocking!
