The Rapid City Police department is handing out tickets and citations for good deeds through the community, as well as rewarding the people of Rapid City for following the law.

Papa Johns Pizza franchises in town as well as other business have supplied the department with coupons for free pizzas to give out to people when caught in the act.

Citations can be anything from using a crosswalk, to keeping a dog on a leash to even picking up litter.

Brendyn Medina With the Rapid City Police says that it’s nice to be able to get out in the community and reward them for a job well done.

“Obviously we are very very fortunate to serve the community that we do, we have a lot of fans out there in the community so it feels good to be able to reward them,” Medyna said.

The campaign will be going on for about 15 weeks according to the police department, so make sure you get out there and put your best foot forward because who knows? You may just be rewarded.
