Style It Up With The Ladies Of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta

July 9, 2015

The ladies of “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” are back Monday nights and heating up the blogs with their brand of ratchet reality television. While we “debate” about their larger-than-life issues, we can all agree that they have been serving up hair and style on a whole other level!

Click through to check out how some of the ladies, including Mimi Faust, Rasheeda, Erica Dixon and Karlie Redd, achieve their flawless ‘dos.

For this look, Mimi’s stylist Melvin Sanders created a custom partial wig with extensions – and added color by Clairol. Using the partial wig allows Mimi to have a natural looking part and more styling flexibility. Layers are then cut into the hair and curled with a Babyliss Curling Wand is used to curl the hair.

Erica Dixon

Stylist Jodie Rowlands makes Erica look stunning in cascading curls with an asymmetrical cut. You can create this look quickly by adding clip-ons in the back that are longer than your hair and blend. If you don’t want to cut your hair, simply roll it under in the back and secure with bobby pins.

How does Erica keep her hair so beautiful? She tells us, “I use Motions Shampoo and Deep Conditioner, but you know what’s funny? I don’t use any product in my hair after that. I have an oil that I might use every now and again, but usually I don’t put anything in my hair. I like it very natural.”

Rasheeda Wallace

What can we say about Rasheeda’s perfect hair? Who wouldn’t want hair
like this?

To get the look, our editors suggest using the Jojoba Monoi line from Eden BodyWorks. Shampoo hair with Jojoba Monoi Moisturizing Shampoo. Follow up with Jojoba Monoi Revitalizing Conditioner for ultra moisture.

After rinsing out the conditioner, apply Jojoba Monoi Hair Oil to promote hair growth, in addition to leaving the hair silky and shiny. It will also serve as a protective barrier between the heat and the hair. Blow out the hair with a comb-less dryer and brush. After ensuring that the hair is completely dry, flat iron it from root to tip, preferably with a ceramic iron. Curl the ends as you silken the hair and then style.

Karlie Redd

Karlie Redd

Karlie Redd is not only gorgeous, but she is an expert when it comes to hair. The entrepreneur launched her own hair line, Karlie Redd. She’s pretty, smart, talented and an entrepreneur.

In this pic, she redefines Hollywood glam. To get this look, consider using hair with a defined wave like Karlie Redd’s Hair #1 or #3. Install, cut and style.
