Sarcoidosis and AIDS Walk in Southeastern NC

 

 

In response to the growing spread of HIV among st youth and young adults between the ages of 13 and 24, males and African Americans, Richelle Fonville and Latesha Sidburry partners of AIDS Walk Wilmington are conducting an AIDS walk and educational session that will be held on June 28th in Wilmington, NC.

They would like to request donations of any monetary amount for this educational event. Any donation will be very helpful to raise money for individuals living with the virus who receive services from Duke Partners in Caring. At Duke, individuals with the virus are able to receive case management, confidential HIV testing, medical attention and emotional support.

We hope you can attend and participate in the AIDS Walk next year to witness all of the hands-on educational activities and outreach that will be conducted throughout the day. This was the 1st annual Sarcoidosis Awareness event, Quanda Morris started this because  Tarrence Devone her son father passed away from this in 2009. So many people are affected by Sarcoidosis and is be coming a growing issue.

A well respected doctor by the name of  Dr. Crane came out and spoke to the public and answered questions.
